Companion Planting

Next month I am moving to a house and will have the opportunity to create a garden in the yard. Through the rainy cold days of March I’ve daydreamed of flowers, fruits, and vegetables. I’ve researched species for my plant zone and planned out my beds. In the spirit of data visualization, I took the opportunity to visualize some vegetable companion planting pairings.

From The Farmers’ Almanac: “Companion planting is a great way to maximize the efficiency of your garden. For almost every vegetable you grow, there is likely to be a beneficial companion plant that will help increase soil nutrients, chase away pests, and help you get the most out of your garden.”
