Dutch Dialogues Charleston

Dutch Dialogues™ Charleston marked a collaborative endeavor aimed at developing a comprehensive vision plan for water, land, and communities within the City of Charleston. Throughout the week-long in-person event, Dutch designers and engineers joined forces with local experts and Clemson graduate students in Resilient Urban Design.

The experts delved into the analysis of flooding challenges across four regions of Charleston: Church Creek, Johns Island, the East Side downtown and the Medical District. In particular, Taylor played a pivotal role in two teams focusing on the Charleston peninsula. Her responsibilities included calculating and visually representing the impact of various water management strategies within the right of way, along with analyzing the overall financial cost of water impacts to the Charleston Medical District. Taylor also represented the Clemson Design Center as a speaker during the kick-off press conference.
